Pronto and wireless.

After my little girls flushed my first pronto down the toilet I decided to store the other two until they were a little older.

Now they are 3 so I have decided to used them again...

I know that the TSU9600 had issues with all protocols except WEP.

My setup:

1. Dlink router converted into access point with DHCP off for pronto use only.
2. SSID Pronto
3. Security WEP64
4. Hex mode
6. Code 0400421235

It connects to the network and receives a ip address..

but it will not connect to the internet.

Any idea's?

BTW Laptop works fine on this access point..

Invoking Applescript via IP - TSU9400

After having a fairly stable system for a number of years using fairly standard prontoscripts and macros, I'd now like to step it up and invoke an Apple Scripts on an Mac via the WiFi connected Pronto TSU9400 to start a Radio website and send the sound via Airplay to a Apple TV connected to some speakers.

Has anyone done this type of process effectively and any references that I could goto to start the process of assembling the Prontoscript.

Would make the process seamless and easy to use from one button press.

RGB to Hex Color Mixer

I just made this color mixer for my 9400. I am going to add it into my color theme changer. I thought someone might want to use it. Everything is dynamic so you can just add it to any empty page.

Scripts don't download even though PEP process runs to completion?

I have a TSU 9400. I am a complete novice. The remote started malfunctioning about a week ago in the following way. The remote connects to the receiver through an RX9400 in network mode over a wired system. I have a dashboard with 6 program sources. I can play FM radio through and Integra receiver from a stand by state. That is the script turns on the receiver and changes the selection to "tuner". I can observe data signal lights on the wifi receiver, the extender and the xantech amplifier block. So I do not believe that I have a networking problem. I made a new start with my Pronto 9600.
I have a Motorola VIP1963 TV encoder, but the remote only has a toggle Powerfunction.
Does anyone have the Power-On and Power-Off codes.

Prontoscript CF.widget().executeActions() calling a button with code?

Hello all,
I have some working code to increase the volume of a preamp.
when I put the code into the page script for the button, the button works properly (still working out some details of the code separately).

However when I put the code into a button on the page in the activity, and call the button (by widget not label) using CF.widget.... executeActions(), nothing happens.

In troubleshooting I've used another button on the same page, and had that button reference a simple function of the unit (balance +), and that does work.

Cannot download in XP Mode

I installed XP Mode on my Windows 7 PC and installed ProntoPro Edit NG within XP Mode. My PCF file opens perfectly in XP Mode. But I still get a "Device is not connected properly" error message when I try to download the file onto my Pronto. The MS Discussion Board told me that my Pronto requires 32-bit communications, and XP Mode does NOT downgrade 64-bit Windows 7 back down to 32-bit.

Possible way to Repair dead Wifi on TSU9400

My 9400 lost wifi totally last summer. It suffered some problem with wifi long time and dropped connection quite often. On last days it didn't get IP address at all and fixed didn't work either, MAC was still visible on Settings screen.

I tried to use iRule with iTach, but didn't get it working realiably. IR reliability was much more poor compared to 9400 + extender. Maybe it's related to long 10m cable on IR emitter to have it on deacent place to control all av equpment, but I have not digged it any further.

Bought one on ebay, seller stated it's the old model.
The new one I suppose is the TSU-9400/37.
Anyone knows what the difference is?

So I have a Philips Hue Lighting system now and I own the TSU 9600 & 9400 but can't find anything on the web for Hue Scripts in Pronto Edit. I have seen XBMC, Apple TV and on and on.. but nothing on Hue. I am good at programing the remotes using the PEP2 but when it comes to scripts I am lost... In any case, looking forward to seeing Pronto Scripts here in the near future for Hue.

Problem with Philips codes

Hi, using an RU990 I am having great problems learning ir codes from a new PHILIPS(!!!) remote control unit
I'd have thought it should work with those !

It appears to learn the codes OK but just will not operate the equipment - a new Philips sound bar http://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/HTL2160_12

Any help appreciated

Using PEP 1.1 for TSU-9400

Having installed PEP1 and imported my pcf into PEP, it looks like PEP very much leans towards the TSU-9600 in terms in screen width and height.
Is there any remedy?
Or maybe I'm just missing something...
Or should I go on and upgrade to PEP2 or even PEP3 ?

TSU9600 : new router wi fi problem

Hello all,

I would like to include my TSU9600 within home network using new router from Netgear, that allows to set up a guest dedicated wifi (separated from the main wi fi). This to dismiss the old router i used until now.

I tried but there is some problem with encryption (i think). TSU9600 supports olny the old WEP64,WEP128 and WPA. Router (Netgear DGND4000), supports WPA2 (AES), WPA (ATIK) + WPA2(AES), WPA/WPA2 enterprise. Setting up router with WPA+WPA2 and TSU9600 with WPA (and same passphrase), using single access point & authomatic wi fi setting, the Pronto apparently connects to... [More Content]

Hello,
I've designed and created a Microsoft keyboard and will be adding the codes this weekend but just wondered if it would be possible to create alt/ctrl/shift combinations.
Hope someone can help that has already done this or is Eventghost or similar my only option.

However, my system page was not imported.

a couple of TSU9400 questions

So after years of owning a TSU7000 I looked around to see what remotes were out their today that are better and even after 4 years it was discontinued it seems like the TSU9x000 are still the best remotes.

I picked up a TSU9400 off from ebay and had 2 questions.
1. When a give it a little shake I hear what sounds like a BB rolling around. Is this normal?
2. The carousel wheel feels a bit sticky it turns and works but I have a hard time rotating it with one finger. Is this normal, is there any fix?

TSU-9400 charger voltages

Suddenly, my 9400 will not charge. The red light on the charger does not illuminate when the remote is docked and the remote is not charging.

I'm not sure which half to bark at, the remote seems to be otherwise working. The Philips logo on the charger is illuminated.

Can someone give me the voltages that I should measure on the three charger contacts? And, if it makes sense, the voltages on the three remote contacts.

LOL, I know my title is ridiculous, but couldn't come up with a better one.

I'm trying to put together a control activity for my Hue lights. The Hue API has functions that change characteristics of the lights; i.e. bri (brightness) and sat (saturation) goes from 0 to 255. I'd like to create a visual bar that can be drug across the screen to show increments of 1 from 0 to 255. At the same time, the changing of the setting would hopefully change the light(s) in real time to match dragging the bar. Does that make sense, I know I'm taking the long route to describe this.
